Pleasanton is one of the bedrocks of Alameda County. The city is neighbored by Dublin, Livermore, and Sunol. Residents have easy access to the 580, 680 and two BART stations. They can reach many areas within the Bay Area and East Bay such as Oakland, San Francisco, Alamo, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, and Danville.
The city is one of the first incorporated cities in the Bay Area as it became one in 1894. Pleasanton has grown to over 70,000 individuals and is considered a very affluent city. In fact, it has been ranked, on a few occasions, the wealthiest middle sized city in the United States.
The Pleasanton Unified School District mirrors its city in quality and size. The schools are considered high quality facilities that rank in the top percentiles in the State. Community and parental support runs very high among each and every school.
In addition to the above, Pleasanton is home to the Bay Area’s main fairground. The Alameda County Fair is held each year in June and July along with numerous other events throughout the year within said facility. Also, Pleasanton has a great downtown with shops and restaurants that residents and visitors can enjoy.
